United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Engagements
Project Scope:
NmTC was engaged by Justice Canada to (DOJ) to lead an engagement process with Indigenous organizations and rights holders as Canada develops legislation in partnership with First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples over the summer/fall 2020 to implement the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UN Declaration) and a universal non-derogation clause.
Naut'sa mawt Event Management led the daily management, execution and implementation of the Indigenous community-focused portion of the engagement process based on an agreed-to timeline and schedule of meetings over the summer and fall 2020.
Project Outcomes:
28 virtual engagement sessions took place Canada-wide with Indigenous groups on the UN Declaration proposed legislation and the universal NDC. Over a period of approximately ten (10) weeks discussions took place with Modern Treaty Holders, and other Indigenous rights holders and representative organizations, including diverse voices such as Youth and Women.

Income Assistance: Case Management & Pre-Employment Supports Virtual Regional Gathering
Project Scope:
Naut'sa mawt Event Management was engaged by The Tribal Resources Investment Corporation and Indigenous Services Canada to manage the 2021 Income Assistance: Case Management & Pre-Employment Supports Virtual Regional Gathering.
Naut'sa mawt Event Management managed all logistics for the event, from the selection of a virtual platform and registration, to creating a custom webpage for participant materials and event resources.
Project Outcomes:
During a series of half day programs over three days, an 17 guest speakers shared information and resources about mental health, overcoming adversity, and best practices.
