2020 Virtual Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) Workshop
October 21, 22, & 23, 2020
9:00am - 12:30pm
Pre-workshop sessions: October 19 & 20, 2020
12:00pm - 1:30pm
The 2020 Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) Workshop is going virtual this year! From October 21-23, 2020, CCP Coordinators, Administrators, Leaders, and Youth from across British Columbia (with limited spots available for others across Canada and internationally) will gather online to share lessons learned and best practices around CCP. First Nation-to-First Nation learning and capacity building are the anchoring principles of this workshop.
The 2020 workshop theme is “Resilient and Rising.” Building on last year’s theme of “Resilience and Adaptation”, this year’s focus is on honouring the long histories of and current innovations in community planning across Indigenous Nations in BC and beyond. While communities continue to plan for uncertain futures and the impacts of climate change, this year we are also living through a global health pandemic that has significantly affected how we work together. From these challenges, new stories of collaboration, care, staying in good relationship, land-based connection, and engagement have emerged.
Who should attend?
CCP Coordinators, Administrators, and Leadership.
Why should we attend?
Through Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP), many First Nations in BC are using a cultural, holistic approach to develop and implement the visions and goals of their communities. Come to the 2020 Virtual BC CCP Workshop to learn more about how to make this type of planning work for your community.
What will we do?
The virtual CCP Workshop will offer a variety of interactive online sessions and learning events, including plenaries, hands-on skill-building workshops, panels, and opportunities for virtual connection with First Nations and organizations from across BC -- all from the comfort of your home or office.
