Naut'sa mawt - Working together as one

We have been honored to work on events big and small, on issues centered on Canada's Indigenous Peoples. We feel that our success is measured not only by the high quality events we deliver on behalf of our clients, but by the positive experiences of our attendees and guests.

Thank you for coordinating all of the logistics for the BC First Nations On- Reserve Housing Forum held on March 24-26, 2009. Even given the very short time lines for planning this event, you and your team ensured that every detail was seen to, and that the stage was set for the business at hand. Your on-site staff was positive, professional and extremely helpful. Again, thank you for the support of the Naut’sa mawt Tribal Council in this successful Forum, and we hope to have the opportunity to work with you and your organization again”

Re: Event Management Service Provided by Naut'sa mawt for the Alternative Energy for BC First Nations Gathering.

I am pleased to write this letter of reference in regard to the services that Naut'sa mawt provided in the planning and execution of the Alternative Energy for BC First Nations Gathering. My role with respect to the Gathering was that of Project Authority for Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) BC Region. I was responsible for engaging your organization to undertake various tasks under the scope of services.

The Alternative Energy for BC First Nations Gathering was a large and complex initiative. Over 550 persons attended this successful event, including representatives from approximately 150 First Nations in British Columbia, various aboriginal organizations, government officials, and private sector firms. Your organization was a member of a diverse organizing committee and had the primary responsibility for:

  • Implementing the recruitment and registration process for invitees.

  • Negotiating and executing contracts with all service providers, including the hotel (rooms, audio-visual, hospitality).

  • Assisting with travel-related questions from our out of town participants and troubleshooting.

  • Participating in the registration on-site and assisting with logistics.

  • Reviewing and reimbursing travel expense claims for First Nation attendees.

  • Managing all financial elements of the event, which had a total budget of over $350,000, including the $250,000 contribution from INAC.

In my capacity as Project Authority for this initiative, I felt that your organization conducted itself with professional competence in all respects.  You demonstrated that NmTC was an excellent team player and worked collaboratively with our many partners. I would highly recommend NmTC to other entities seeking the services of event management service provider.”
