Community Infrastructure Services Planning – Tangible Capital Assets

NmTC member Nations are invited to join NmTC Enhanced Technical Services Unit for this workshop .As the next step in Community Infrastructure Services Planning, this working session will focus on Financial Administration Laws and Tangible Capital Asset Management for your communities. You will need to understand and implement these to qualify for 10-year ISC funding agreements, to be certified by the First Nations Financial Management Board to borrow money for infrastructure or other projects, and to develop well-functioning and sustainable infrastructure services for your communities.

NmTC and the First Nations Financial Management Board (FMB) 10-Year Grant Workshop (NmTC Member Nations Only)

NmTC member Nations are invited to join NmTC and the Financial Management Board (FMB) for a presentation and discussion about Financial Administration Laws and 10-Year Grants. Together, these mechanisms can provide increased flexibility and predictability in how funding is used by First Nations, including:

  • Greater opportunities for long-term planning and flexibility in allocating, managing and using funding to better accommodate local needs and changing circumstances and priorities

  • Ability to retain unexpended funds and opportunities to reduce administrative and reporting burden.
