Yukon Indigenous Community-Based Climate Monitoring Forum

The Forum will be held at the Mt. McIntyre Recreation Centre in the Grey Mountain Room. A dinner will be hosted by the Arctic Institute of Community Based Research at the Yukon Inn on the 29th for First Nation participants.
You are invited to attend a two day Forum on Indigenous Community-Based Monitoring programs in the Yukon. The Forum objectives are to:

Identify funding and resources for First Nations developing monitoring programs/Guardian programs

Share best practices and tools to support program development

Encourage program development through training

Discuss opportunities to work on collaborative monitoring programs in the Yukon
Who should attend?
Participation in the Forum is by invitation and is intended for First Nation government land management branches from the Yukon and northern British Columbia.
About the Forum:
The purpose of this Forum is to share knowledge and experience about land and water monitoring activities and associated data sharing tools with First Nations in Yukon and northern B.C., with a focus on community-based climate change monitoring. Showcasing continuing research projects in the Yukon, this Forum provides a venue for discussing Indigenous led monitoring programs in the Yukon and possible opportunities for collaborating in the future.
